I hold a BFA in Fine Art Photography from the School of Visual Arts in New York and have spent more than 25 years photographing women around the world.
After years behind the camera, I've learned that the women who say they're "not photogenic" are often the women most surprised by what they see.
By the time women are done with the photoshoot, they leave with something far more valuable than photographs—they leave with a new way of seeing themselves.

For more than 25 years, I've photographed women in New York, Paris, Africa, and beyond. But the photograph that changed me most was one I made of my mother.
Years ago, I invited my mother into my studio for a portrait session. Like many women, she wasn't comfortable being in front of the camera. She worried about how she looked. But something changed.
When she saw the photographs, she didn't focus on her wrinkles. She saw her strength. She saw the life she had lived. Then she looked at me and said, "I still look beautiful.
Watching her transformation changed the way I thought about photography forever.
