How to prepare for a personal branding shoot in London or Paris

You don't need to be a model, know how to pose, or have a perfectly planned wardrobe. A successful shoot starts long before the camera comes out. It starts with you. Start with Intention
Before choosing an outfit or scouting a location, ask yourself one question:
How do I want people to feel when they see these images?
Confident. Approachable. Sophisticated. Creative. Powerful. Perhaps all of the above. Your photos should reflect who you are today, not who you were five years ago. This single question will guide every decision that follows.
Choose Outfits That Feel Like You
The clothes you choose indicate how you feel about yourself. For most women, three to five outfit options create plenty of variety. Each one should meet a simple test:
Fits well today, not aspirationally
Makes you feel genuinely confident
Reflects your personal brand and voice
Coordinates with your industry and audience
Think Beyond the Headshot
A strong personal brand needs more than one image. These photos become the visual currency of your career, used across websites, social media, podcasts, speaking engagements, and marketing materials. Think in scenes:
At work
In your element, in flow
Speaking
Commanding a room
In the city
Moving through your world
At a café
Candid and human
Environmental portraits
Images that tell your story before you say a word
Trust the Process
One of the most common things I hear before a session:
"I'm not photogenic."
Almost every woman says this. And almost every woman is wrong about it. You don't need to know how to pose. My job is to guide you every step of the way — so you can focus on enjoying the experience, not managing your angles.
Embrace the City
Whether we're photographing in London or Paris, the city becomes part of the story. The architecture, the streets, the cafés, the atmosphere — they all add a depth and character that simply cannot be recreated in a studio.
The goal is never simply to create beautiful photographs. It's to create images that reflect your presence, your story, and the woman you've become.
"Visibility isn't vanity. It's how people recognize your value before you ever say a word."
When you arrive confident, intentional, and ready to be seen — that's when the magic happens.
